01 About
A studio built around fewer handoffs.
Greenology Digital Services is a Minnesota creative technology practice. We take an idea from the first conversation through brand, experience, engineering and launch — and then stay for the part where it has to keep working.
Why the company exists.
Digital work fragmented as it got more specialised. A brand agency writes the positioning, a design studio interprets it, a development shop rebuilds the interpretation, and a marketing team is handed the result a year later with none of the reasoning attached. Every handover loses something, and the losses are cumulative.
GDS is organised the other way round. One practice holds the whole arc — strategy, brand, experience, engineering, media and growth — so the reasoning behind a decision is still in the room when that decision has consequences. It is a smaller way of working, and it is the reason clients tend to stay.
02 The founder
Ashwin Malgi
Founder, Greenology Digital Services LLC
Ashwin works across digital strategy, website and product development, UX/UI and technology operations — and still shoots the photography on a good number of the projects that pass through the studio. The combination is unusual on purpose.
Understanding how a business runs, how a product is engineered and how an image is composed produces better decisions than any one of those disciplines alone. It is why a GDS engagement opens with questions about margins, customers and constraints rather than about templates, and why the answer is sometimes that the website is not the problem.
Alongside client work he designs and operates the GDS Ventures — ClikPod, ViewXPro, JustSuperDeals, AIooze and BookPhotology — which is where new approaches get tested before they are recommended to anyone else.

03 How we think
Six commitments we can be held to.
Not values on a wall. These are the specific promises that shape how an engagement runs, and the ones you should push back on if we miss them.
-
01
Strategy before execution
We ask what the business needs to be true before we ask what the site should look like. It is a slower first week and a much faster third month.
-
02
Design and technology under one roof
The people who designed it are the people who build it. Nothing is lost in the handoff, because there is no handoff.
-
03
Founder-led attention
You work directly with the person accountable for the outcome. No rotating account team, no briefing the same context twice.
-
04
Built around business goals
Every decision traces back to a result you asked for. If a feature cannot be connected to one, we will say so before we quote it.
-
05
Foundations that scale
Content models, design systems and code your team — or a future developer — can extend two years from now without a rewrite.
-
06
Partnership beyond launch
Hosting, maintenance, measurement and iteration. Most of our relationships are measured in years rather than projects.
04 How we work
-
01
Discover
Questions first
Stakeholders, customers, constraints, competitors, and the numbers that already exist. We are looking for the real problem, which is often one layer under the stated one.
-
02
Define
Scope and shape
Architecture, priorities, content model, technical approach, and an agreed definition of what success looks like on launch day and six months later.
-
03
Design
Decisions you can see
Identity, interface and prototypes — reviewed and pressure-tested while changes are still cheap. Design systems, not one-off screens.
-
04
Develop
Build in the open
Short, visible cycles on a staging environment you can open any time. Accessibility, performance and content editing are checked as we go, not bolted on.
-
05
Launch
Land it properly
Migration, redirects, QA across devices, analytics, search console, monitoring, and a handover your team can actually use.
-
06
Grow
Keep it earning
Measure, publish, refine, maintain. Most of what we learn about a product arrives after real people start using it.
